Overview

The Rainwater Tank Rebate can help eligible South Australian households save money and water with a rebate of up to $200 for a new stand-alone (not connected to household plumbing) rainwater tank with a capacity of 1,000 litres or more.

Key eligibility

To qualify for a rebate you must:

  • have purchased the tank on or after 11 March 2010
  • have a tank with a capacity of 1,000 litres or more
  • have installed the tank at your home and not connected it to your household plumbing
  • complete a rebate application form and provide an original purchase receipt or tax invoice.

You don't need to be a customer of SA Water to apply for a rebate.

All homeowners and renters can apply for the rebate. If you’re renting, you’ll need written permission from your landlord to claim the rebate.
