I'm a Permaculture Teacher and Consultant and passionate about how humans should live on this planet and interact with nature to prolong our non-renewable resources.

John Champagne's story

Following a Permaculture Design Course in 1992, our family moved from a mortgage stressed existence in Melbourne and bought 11 acres in Brogo, NSW.
We built a mudbrick house and set up food growing systems to feed our family of five children.
We went on solar, built a composting toilet, collected rainwater and recycled our greywater.
We took personal responsibilities for our lives and needs.
Our greatest achievement was to bring up our children in this environment. As young adults today, they make choices with an understanding of natural resource usage.

John Champagne's recommendations

I think doing a Permaculture Design Course is a great way to fast track lifestyle change.
